Mat. 12:35 (acrylic on paper using keys. 2001)
>A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. This small painting depicts how I get the ideas for all the art work. The heart at the top represents my heart with many keys and chambers inside. There are many keys in my heart for many purposes; however the most important one is the white key that you see in the middle. This key represents the Holy Spirit's key that he puts into my heart. I can not explain it, except that after HE puts an idea in my heart to paint, that I try and paint the idea that He put there. My heart is always full of grief and it feels like my soul/heart is bleeding. If I paint the idea my way it comes out all wrong as shown at the bottom right side of the painting, it's just a mess with no meaning. But if I take a paintbrush and listen to his spirit I can bleed out a reflection of what he put inside my heart. The Holy white key inside my heart was painted out under the heart. Both keys look similar. It seems that I can never paint as beautiful as he shows me in my heart, I am not an artist, and I was a soldier for most of my working life. But because I try to paint for Him I believe that he blesses it.

And Jesus said unto them, because of your unbelief: for I say unto you, if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer AND fasting.
Faith moves mountains painting. There are many hidden messages in this painting. Besides the obvious mountain top being moved out of its place, this symbolizes the troubles in our lives that are huge as mountains, which God can move and does move. At the bottom left of the painting is a mustard tree, behind the mustard tree and to the left is a man praying and fasting, then there is a man sowing seeds the seeds fall on the shadow of the mustard tree, notice that the shadow of the tree is in the shape of a heart. Because that's were the seeds (Word) are sown, in our hearts. And as the mustard seed grows in our hearts it points to that mountain (see the trees branch that looks like a hand pointing) and the Mountain moves. But this kind was all started by prayer and fasting. If none of this makes sense then just pray to God and ask for understanding.
TREASURE MAP (pencil/pen on paper, 2001)
This pencil drawing depicts the scripture verse in 2nd. Peter 1:5-7
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to Knowledge temperance; and to temperance (self control) patience; and to patience Godliness; and to Godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness Charity.
It is impossible to fit all the scriptures of the bible into a small treasure map, so I just used a few scriptures. You start at the bottom with belief and baptism then work your way up the mountain avoiding a lot of traps. This is by no means a complete map. For the complete treasure map please refer to the King James Bible.
9-11 who's hijacking your heart? (Acrylic on canvases, 200?)
When I read what happened on flight 93 during sept. 11, it touched my heart. So I decided to do a painting honoring the heroes of flight 93 and sept. 11. Many more innocent lives would have been lost if it had not been for the heroes of that day. When I finished the painting I mailed it to Lisa Beamer, the wife of Todd Beamer, the Hero on flight 93 who said" LETS ROLL"
In the painting there is smoke rising up from the towers and turning into people. And if you look down the isle of the plane you will see another passenger. A stranger who helped the Heroes prevents the 4th plane from hitting the white house. The inside of the plane is in the shape of a heart reminding us that we are not to allow evil spirits to hijack our hearts and wreck our lives into others. I never got a response from Lisa, but the Todd Beamer foundation wrote me a thank you note
