LOST TITLE (acrylic on canvas, 2003)
The artist is trying to paint, but all the artist sees is destruction and war, but God's spiritual hand of inspiration is seen on the artist hand causing the artist to paint joyful scenes.
WATER IN THE DESERT (ACRYLIIC ON CANVAS, 2004)
"WITH JOY SHALL YOU DRAW WATER OUT OF THE WELL OF SALVATION"
This is a painting depicting a soldier out in the middle of the desert who stumbles across a well (the King James Version Bible) and discovers a wealth of water, wisdom, and happiness. Trust me if you go over there, your going to need a King James Version Bible.
POOR WISE MAN (acrylic on canvas, 2004)
A painting depicting a wise man saving the kingdom. There is a wise man is in the prison which hangs over the lake. The wise man can be seen kneeling in prayer. The king of the castle is on seen on top of the castle, full of pride. It reminds me of the prophet Jeremiah when he was imprisoned. It also reminds me of the poor wise man who saved a city.
CROSSing OVER(OIL on canvas, 2004)
Heavy spiritual symbology. On the right side of the river is a dry and whithered looking land representing this world. On the left side of the river, a plush beautiful promises land. In the middle is the door-JESUS. On the right side, in the withered land, is a forked tree and the owner of that tree is hanging in a branch, hissing at the children running to JESUS. There is an African American girl pulling another child towards Jesus, but that child is afraid and only sees a raging river. All the children represent innocence-We must come to Jesus as a little child, there is one child that made it across the river with Jesus help, that child is happily running through a field of blue bonnets.
