GALATIANS 5:17 (Acrylic on canvas, 2004)
"for the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would."
Wooah horsy! This painting has a strong spiritual message, and if you close your natural eyes and open the eyes of your heart you might catch the meaning of it. Our flesh is like a stubborn horse or mule. Gimmie, gimmie, gimmie. Our flesh wants and desires things we are not supposed to be going after. In the painting you will see that our flesh horse is chained to addictions and lust of the world, see the chain connected to the world, which is in the shape of an apple of sin. All the meanwhile demons are "nagging/pulling" at the flesh. Our soul/spirit is trying to do the right thing separate from the flesh. But just as our spirit is going to go and do something right, the flesh is right there to grab the spirit and pull it back. The flesh always bucking and kicking when it doesn't get its way. But there is hope. Fight the lust of the flesh horse by strengthening the spirit rider. Prayer, fasting, STUDYING the bible, hanging out with Christians, etc. May God bless your spirit rider so that you can go down the happy trails of righteousness and God's will.
HOLY GHOST AIR STRIKE (ACRYLIC ON CANVAS, 2005)
THIS IMAGE WAS LAID ON MY HEART MANY TIMES TO PAINT, BUT IT WASN'T UNTIL I WAS SERVIING OVER IN IRAQ THAT I BEGAN TO FIRST SKETCH THIS IN PENCIL. A CHRISTIAN KNEELING IN A CLEARING RAISING HIS HANDS UP TO HEAVEN AS A LAST CALL FOR HELP. ALL THE MEANWHILE DEMONS ARE SURROUNDING HIM AND CLOSEING IN. THE DEMONS ARE SEEN COMING OUT OF THE FOGY FOREST TOWARDS HIM. THE CHRISTIAN RAISES HIS HANDS AND LOOKS UP TO HEAVEN AND CALLS IN A HOLY GHOST AIR STRIKE.

THE MIND, SATANS PLAYGROUND (ACRYLIC ON VELVET, 2006)
The message in this painting goes well with the painting titled 2nd Corinthians 10:3-5. At the bottom of this painting there is a man sitting and thinking. Above his head shows a battle for the control of his mind. Satan on the left fighting a Holy angel for the control of his thoughts. The man is grappling with his thoughts as shown on the top left side, and middle top. The evil thoughts taking the mount position, and putting him into an arm bar. But hope breaks forth on the top right as the man starts using scripture to fight his thoughts. Spiritual psychology on velvet.
